The Advising and Academic Services Office is pleased to announce our two new staff advisors, Evelyn Knox and Star Kafovalu-Wildes!
Evelyn has an Associate of Arts in
Liberal Arts from San Bernardino Valley College, a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Social Sciences from CSUSB, and a Master of Science degree in Counseling &
Guidance from CSUSB. In the past three years, Evelyn has worked as an
Area Coordinator of Residential Education for the CSUSB Office of Housing and
Residence Life. Previously, she served as the Director of Peer Advising
for the Liberal Studies department at CSUSB. In her new role, Evelyn will
be responsible for coordinating Peer Advising and related programs as well as
providing direct advising services.
Star has a Bachelor of Arts degree
in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from CSUSB. She will be taking
the comprehensive exam to obtain her Master of Public Administration degree at
CSUSB. In the past year, Star has worked as the Office Manager for
the Office of Student Conduct and Ethical Development at CSUSB.
Previously, she served as the Program Administrative Coordinator for the
Student Assistance In Learning (SAIL) Program at CSUSB. Star has taught a
University Studies 100 Freshman Seminar every fall quarter since 2010.
