Fall 2013 Registration/ Upcoming Dates

Have you registered yet for the Fall 2013 quarter?  Do you know your registration date? 

Before registering, please check your MyCoyote account to make sure all your holds have been cleared.  Also, it is highly suggested that you meet with your academic advisor before registering for classes.

June 10^th  -  Last day of classes

June 11^th-June 15^th -   Final exams

June 15^th-June 16^th -  Commencement

Hey Coyotes!

Heads up that Friday, May 24th is the last day to submit the Petition to Drop After Census. 

Dropping a class can only be done for serious and compelling reasons.  To drop a class for the Spring 2013 term, you will need to pick up the petition form from the Records, Registration and Evaluations Office or the department of your major.  You will need to obtain the signatures of your instructor, department chair of the course, and the dean or associate dean in which you are majoring in.  If you are undeclared, submit the form to the Advising & Academic Services Office in University Hall, Rm 380.

 *Supporting documentation is required and must be attached to the petition.

Fall 2013 Advisement Appointments

Hey Coyotes!

Make sure to schedule your advising appointments with your academic advisors before registering for your Fall 2013 classes!

Don't know what questions to ask your advisor aside from what classes you should take?  Here are some other possible questions to ask your advisor:

• I am interested in doing an internship.  What steps should I take to pursue this?

• What types of jobs can I apply for with this major?


• I printed my PAWS report.  Can you go over it with me?

• What steps do I need to take to apply for graduate school? 

We hope these questions will help you in getting the most out of your advising appointments!

Coyote Advising Week

Hey Coyotes! 

Summer 2013 priority registration started on May 6^th and Fall 2013 priority registration will begin on May 23^rd.  To help you plan ahead, we suggest making your appointments with your advisors to select your classes for the Fall quarter.

 

 

Starting this coming Monday, we will have advising tables throughout campus as part of Coyote Advising Week.  Look for us in University Hall and the Santos Manuel Student Union.  We will help you check your registration date and look for any holds on your account. 

Coyote Advising Week is Monday, May 13^th thru Thursday, May 16^th from 10:00am-3:00pm.

Dianna J. Pelletier Scholarship Winners!

Happy Monday Coyotes! 

Congratulations to our newest Dianna J. Pelletier Resiliency Scholarship winners,  Alexandra Alagiannis and Julia Kay Oberndorf!

 

The Dianna J. Pelletier Resiliency Scholarship has been created to provide a financial incentive to CSUSB undergraduate students who have been placed on academic probation or subject to disqualification from the university.  Qualifying students will receive awards ranging from $200 to $1000. The amount of the award will be determined by the need of the student and the funds available.
